Sips & Suds: A relaxed night of soap making!

Everyone deserves an evening to relax and let their creativity flow! Join us Friday, November 6th for Sips & Suds, a 19+ soap-making workshop, hosted in collaboration with Carla McCormick of Small Batch PEC, where guests will experience hands-on the beauty of cold process soap making and get to take home their creations.

This two-and-a-half-hour guided event will feature a live demonstration by Carla of the ins and outs of cold process soap making, highlighting natural thoughtful ingredients, and the craft behind each bar. A thorough safety overview will also be included to ensure everyone feels comfortable with the process prior to starting the hands-on portion of the workshop.

This evening of fun isn’t just for parents, while you’re making soap, your child and their accompanying adult get to explore Adventure Alley’s play space and take part in a guided craft in the Burrow – All included with your registration!

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION DETAILS 

CHILD ADMISSION:

• Guests attending with a child UNDER THE AGE OF 5 must have an accompanying adult present to supervise the child in the play space during the workshop (additional adult included with registration)

• Guests attending with a child OVER THE AGE OF 5 must either:

  • Have an accompanying adult present to supervise the child in the play space during the workshop (additional adult included with registration) OR;

  • Choose to add ‘Supervised Play’ to their booking during registration at no additional charge

• Children who ARE NOT registered or accepted for supervised play MUST remain under the supervision of the included accompanying adult.

• Any additional adult is welcome to watch the soap-making workshop, but their admission DOES NOT include hands-on participation, materials, soap to take home, or wine

• This admission option DOES NOT include participation in the soap-making workshop or supervised play

• Children registered under this option MUST remain under the care and supervision of an accompanying adult throughout the event

• INCLUDES: Access to the play space, child craft activity, snacks, and supervised play provided by Adventure Alley staff during the workshop

• Supervised play for an additional child MUST be selected during registration and is subject to age eligibility, staffing ratios, operational procedures, and availability

SUPERVISED PLAY

• Supervised play is available ONLY FOR CHILDREN AGES FIVE AND OLDER, and is subject to staffing ratios, operational procedures, and availability

• Supervised play is included at no additional charge for the child included with the main ticket

• Select supervised play during registration

• Children registered for supervised play may participate while their accompanying adult attends the workshop

• Children who ARE NOT registered or accepted for supervised play MUST remain under the supervision of the included accompanying adult

  • The included accompanying adult may supervise the child as they move between the workshop room, craft activity, and play space

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

• Advanced registration through SimplyBook.me is required

• Walk-ins will NOT be accepted

• Check-in begins at 5 PM

• The workshop will begin promptly at 5:15 PM and last until 7:15 PM

• Families are encouraged to arrive early to check in, complete any outstanding waivers, purchase grip socks if needed and get settled

  • All participating children must have a completed Adventure Alley waiver on file

  • All guests remain subject to Adventure Alley’s standard admission rules, check-in procedures, facility policies and operational guidelines.

  • Children using the play space must wear grip socks

    • Families may bring their own grip socks or purchase Adventure Alley grip socks at check-in for $5.99 + HST

• Children MUST remain under the care of an accompanying adult unless they are registered for supervised play and meet the age requirements

• Supervised play is subject to age eligibility, staffing ratios, operational procedures, and availability

• Snacks and wine will be provided

• Guests should disclose dietary restrictions and any fragrance or skin sensitivities during registration

  • Accommodations cannot be guaranteed

• Alcoholic beverages are available only to guests aged 19 and older

  • Valid government-issued identification may be required

• Content may be captured during the event for Adventure Alley and partner marketing purposes
